Friends and family of an 18-year-old Centralia High School graduate who was last seen on the Willapa Hills Trail south of Claquato Tuesday afternoon are looking for help to continue searching the area.

Zach Hines-Rager is believed to have gone into the water just upstream of the old railroad trestle bridge that crosses the Chehalis River just south of Highway 603 sometime Tuesday afternoon, according to friends and family who have been searching for him.

Authorities have been working to conduct a search of the area, including a water search, but made little progress today, according to the family.

Anyone with information on Hines-Rager’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at 360-748-9286.

Friends and family will resume the search at 9 a.m. Thursday beginning at the  Willapa Hills Trailhead along 603.

This story will be updated.
