The search for 4-year-old Vadie Sides came to a happy ending in Lee County on Friday. Searchers found her after she had gone missing for two days.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said searchers found Sides after searching in some woods.
Authorities said she had disappeared from her babysitter’s sight Wednesday afternoon while they were walking in a backyard with a hound dog.
Jones said Sides is in good condition despite her ordeal. The hound dog was at her side when she was found.
“We are beyond happy,” Jones wrote in a text message.
Sides had disappeared from the 5000 block of Lee Road 66 in Auburn at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, March 25. The search happened in the Loachapoka area on foot and by air.
