MONONA, Wis. — Police are asking for information about two vehicles believed to be involved in a Wednesday night shots fired incident on the Beltline.

According to the Monona Police Department, officers responded at 7:41 p.m. to reports of shots being fired between two vehicles on the Beltline near West Broadway.

One caller told officers the vehicles were traveling westbound on the Beltline, but another reported the vehicles were traveling eastbound. Another witness reportedly told police one of the vehicles might have left the Beltline traveling toward Wal-Mart.

Police described the vehicles as as a smaller light-colored sedan and a black sedan.

Officers from the Monona, Madison, McFarland and Town of Madison police departments responded to the area near Wal-Mart, but they did not find the suspect vehicles.

No injuries were reported after the shots were fired.
