MAGNOLIA, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after they said a man was shot and killed in front of his daughter in Magnolia Wednesday night.
Deputies said they are searching for 27-year-old Christopher Julian, who is accused of fatally shooting his friend, 28-year-old Samuel Schmitt. Deputies said the incident happened at around 11 p.m. on Kinley Ann Court, just behind The Woodlands.
Deputies said they arrived at the scene and found Schmitt dead at the front door of his home. According to witnesses, Julian got into a disagreement with the victim before he got a weapon and fired shots at him. The suspect fled in a 2012 Nissan Versa with Texas plate MPT5747, deputies said.
Julian is described as being 5′4,″ 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel colored eyes. He was last seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt, white shorts, and a dark-colored baseball cap with a white cross on the front and on the side. Deputies said he and the victim went to high school together and they believe he is still in the area.
Julian also has a warrant for aggravated assault of a family member in Tomball after he was accused of shooting at his girlfriend’s vehicle multiple times in Tomball, deputies said. He is considered to be armed and dangerous. If seen, authorities are asking the public not to approach him.
